Big Bass 3in1
We spent a lazy weekend with Big Bass 3in1 and came away pleasantly surprised. As the name suggests, it packs three small modes into a single app, and all of them revolve around a calm fishing theme. The presentation is bright and friendly, and it loads fast even on an older phone, which we appreciated.
Controls are the highlight here. Everything is tap-and-hold or a light swipe, so you can play one-handed on a bus. One mode is a timing challenge where you release at the right moment, another is a tidy little matching game with fish icons, and the third is a slower, almost meditative mode where you just line things up. Nothing overstays its welcome; sessions run a couple of minutes and then you're free to put it down.
It won't blow anyone away with depth, and the three modes could use a bit more variety long-term. But as a pick-up-and-relax game it does exactly what it sets out to do, and the cheerful audio grew on us. A solid choice when you want something undemanding.
What we liked
- Three simple modes in one small download
- One-handed controls that just work
- Great for short, relaxed breaks
